About the role

**Role Location**: Melbourne or Sydney

**Role Type**: Permanent

Responsibility for collections strategy, collections measurement, monitoring and reporting mechanisms used by Risk to support the business in maximising operational efficiencies whilst optimising bad debt charge across secured and unsecured products. The post holder will also require portfolio/project management skills to assist in strategy development and implementation as well as managing projects to ensure timelines are met.

What will you bring?
Knowledge of collections processes and requirements, acts and legisilation impacting collections practices. Particularly Comprehensive Credit Reporting, Financial Hardship Reporting and Bureau data
Strong analytical, numerical, research and problem solving
Proven capability to Develop and deliver collection strategies
Proven use and or knowledge of collection end user systems or collection strategy system uasge
Proven ability to negotiate and implement strategies across operations and collections teams outside of risk (understanding of collections operating model)
Proven financial and operational understanding of collection drivers
Proven ability to lead multiple pieces of work in parallel, whilst also managing a high performing team
Demonstrated ability to manage in a down turn (where deliquency and losses have exceed 20% of the norm). has shown resliance capabilities
