**Your role**

The Manager Capital Investment PMO manages and coordinates the collection of project reporting data, including budget, timelines, progress updates, variations, assurance status and benefits, across the Department as a whole, to support the achievement of organisational objectives and planned outcomes.

The role is responsible for maintaining a proactive focus on data quality and integrity, as well as driving a culture of transparency and alignment across all CIPMO activities through effective reporting.

**What you’ll do**

As part of the Capital Planning and Investment business unit, you are responsible but not limited to:

- Manage and coordinate the collection of all aspects of project reporting, including budget, timelines, progress, project variations, assurance activities, and benefits identified, across the Department.
- Meeting reporting requirements, in accordance with the governance framework and in line with the governance schedule.
- Ensuring reporting that has been provided by the delivery PMO’s and divisions within the Department are in line with established Portfolio Management Office methodologies and guidelines
- Providing analytics and insights based on papers and reports provided by the respective divisions within the Department, identifying trends, inconsistencies, and highlighting areas of concerns or issues.
- Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, management of expectations and issues, to ensure reporting deliverables are met.
- Liaising with the point of contact for each business unit to ensure project reporting and papers are provided to the Capital Investment Portfolio Management Office on time and at the agreed frequency.
- Monitor and evaluate all aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues, assess project progress and effectiveness, and achieve project outcomes.
- Manage project team/s, ensuring compliance with governance and quality requirements, to successfully deliver all key project/s milestones and outcomes.

**What we’re looking for**
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive project and leadership management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, whilst managing consultation and negotiations with internal and external stakeholders at various levels with varying expectations, viewpoints and interests
- Ability to manage conflicting project deadlines and milestones to the required standards and within budget, given the need to simultaneously coordinate and deliver multiple projects which are often complex and interconnected.
- Strategic, financial/budget planning with the ability to liaise, influence and negotiate confidently across all levels to manage projects and deliver positive outcomes.
