This position supports the Director HR and State Managers in all employee relations matters, specifically in disciplinary matters, performance management and work health and safety.

This role primarily acts as a SPOC delivering functional advice to line managers across the business and providing a full range of employee relations support.

**Performance Management in NSW and QLD**
- Manage and maintain probation review of workers
- Assist Managers/Line Managers to improve worker performance
- Assist managers to document and write warning letters.
- Maintain weekly contact with retail and warehouse managers to proactively manage worker performance, absenteeism and any issues.

**Policies and Procedures**
- Establish and maintain relevant HR policies and procedures
- Develop and roll out policies and procedures
- Provide ongoing training and coaching of staff to ensure compliance

**Employee Relations**
- Partner with Line Managers on providing advice regarding all employment relations matters and in facilitating terminations
- Ensure all documentation is legally compliant and best practice
- Coach and assist Line Manager in performance management processes

**Work Health & Safety - nationally**
- Manage company policies, statements and procedures relating to WHS
- Ensure RTW Program is maintained and workers acknowledge it on our system
- Manage Company reporting requirements to relevant stakeholders and regulators nationally following a reportable workplace injury.
- Manage the RTW of injured workers following a lost time injury.
- Administration of workers compensation claims and Return to Work (RTW) / Suitable Duties Plan for injured workers.
- Co-ordination of Injured workers and their RTW Program

**Legal**
- Respond as required to complaints originating in all states from Fair Work Ombudsman, FWC, Human Rights Commission
- Manage complaints lodged with WHS Authorities and/or WorkCover inspections / reports from within NSW & QLD

**Other**

Perform other related duties as required relevant to your skills and experience, within the functions of HR and business operations.

**In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, the position is also responsible for**:

- Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
- Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments

**EXPERIENCE**
- A minimum of 3 years previous experience in a HR Advisory role, with a proven track record and ability to deliver current and compliant HR practices.
- Must have experience in a medium to large sized business

**EDUCATION**
- Must have bachelor’s degree tertiary qualification in Business, HR or similar.

**SPECIALISED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
- Must have high level of competence in dealing with all employee relations matters.
- Must have strong background in HRIS and other HR tools.
- Must have experience in developing and conducting training.
- Must be confident and have the ability to train and coach others and share knowledge and learnings
- Must have commercial acumen and sound HR generalist knowledge

- Must be willing to accept responsibility and make decisions based on experience, education and understanding of business needs and culture.
