**What You Will Be Doing**
The Facilities Manager leads a team of engineers, maintenance and support staff who have responsibility for the upkeep and management of Peninsula Health facilities to ensure they meet the highest standards of safe and efficient healthcare delivery and to ensure normal health care services of Peninsula Health are not disrupted.
Key responsibilities:

- Supervise and mentor a team of engineers, maintenance and support staff, providing guidance and coaching to maintain a high level of performance and engagement
- Ensure that all work undertaken by the Facilities team, or contractors is compliant with healthcare regulations and quality standards
- Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance plans which minimise downtime and ensure a safe environment
- Support the ongoing reliability (and Compliance) of essential plant/ fire services and equipment
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to facility maintenance, safety inspections, and compliance.
- Manage budgets for facility-related expenses and identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Oversee minor capital and minor renovation projects, ensuring that they are completed within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans by utilising a risk management approach to address potential disruptions affecting Peninsula Health facilities
- Foster effective communication and cooperation with all Peninsula Health departments, addressing their facility-related needs and ensuring seamless coordination for patient care
- Promote a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and open communication within the facilities department.

**What You Need**
We anticipate you will have
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a healthcare setting or similar complex environment.
- Proven experience in project management.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment maintenance, and safety regulations.
