**Why your Role Matters**
We’re introducing a new strategically driven role to work across a number of key compliance and system improvement programs within our Division of Operations.

As PMO Lead you will be providing strong leadership and strategic guidance to the central Program Team, managing and coordinating the workload of multiple program teams to ensure the optimal management of knowledge and resourcing across our HR projects including associated business plans, using effective change management, project management and business process management approaches and techniques.

The PMO Lead will report into the Program Lead, and has a small team of direct reports.

**Accountabilities**:

- Oversee the optimal delivery of projects and initiatives in your remit.
- Manage the strategic planning and allocation of resources (human, financial, and technological).
- Make recommendations and drive change in respect to continuous improvement of project management.
- Oversee adherence to UNSW governance pathways.
- Prepare and present leadership papers, management briefs and high-level correspondence to key stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships and ensure effective communication with internal and external partners.
- Execute and implement projects within agreed timelines and achieve program objectives,

**Who you are: We’re looking for an experienced project leader with an 5+ years program management track record, to bring their in
- depth understanding of the project life cycle to lead the strategic development of project plans and resource optimisation for delivery. You will hold the following skills & experience**:

- People management experience, including experience leading a small team.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and proven capacity to exercise initiative, flexibility and to be proactive in development of robust solutions to problems.
- Advanced time management, organisational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to respond to changing priorities to meet deliverables.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills including substantial experience in preparing reports, policies and briefings in a complex program.
- Extensive experience and demonstrated skill in consultation, influencing and negotiation skills and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
