**Position**: Disability Support Worker
**Location**: Glenelg
**Employment Type**: Casual
**Shifts Available**: Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school hours

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide direct support to children with disabilities, including those with challenging behaviours (including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD).
- Assist children in their daily activities, including personal care, mentoring, social interactions, and recreational activities.
- Utilize behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies to create a safe, structured environment.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, effective care.
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and incident reports as needed.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- **Essential**: Experience working with children with challenging behaviours, preferably in a disability support role.
- **Essential**: Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services, or a related field.
- **Preferred**: A background in education.
- Understanding of the developmental needs and challenges faced by children with disabilities.
- Current [First Aid/CPR, Working with Children Check, Police Check, etc.] or willingness to obtain them.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with children, families, and colleagues.
