Ferring+You

You will be responsible for the strategic direction of the Business Unit; leading the team, internal cross-functional business partners and external alliance partners to meet the objectives consistent with overall commercial strategy. You will help deliver on Ferring’s vision of being a leader in specialty areas within gastroenterology and urology and contribute to providing innovative solutions to help people live better lives.

Your day at Ferring
- Achieve revenue, profit and market share targets through the development, implementation and execution of creative marketing, sales, pricing, and public affairs strategies and initiatives; monitoring all expenditure versus budget, reforecasting where appropriate and meeting all divisional Sales and OPEX requirements
- Effectively monitor information on development in the external marketing environment and analyse Ferring’s product performance and competitiveness including market share etc.
- Foster and champion collaboration and synergy across commercial, scientific, medical and finance functions
- Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with key strategic accounts, decision makers and stakeholders to identify and drive key partnership opportunities, gain deep insights, uncover unmet needs, promote brand awareness and strengthen organizational relationships.
- Work with members of the Leadership Team and Human Resources to ensure that appropriate strategies, policies and processes are in place to attract, retain and develop talented individuals
- Identify opportunities for line extensions, product differentiators and potential acquisitions to meet market / competitive and customer / patient needs
- Co-ordinate PR, Symposia, conferences (national and international) as an integral component of the marketing mix, seeking to maximise the use of local, national and international KEE’s
- Develop and implement a Life Cycle Management and Access strategies for all Ferring Specialty products aligned with Group TA strategies
- Contribute as member of the Australian Leadership Team and represent the BU and Australia organization within key regional and global initiatives and project teams.
- Provide support and effectively manage external alliance/business partners to ensure delivery of key financial and commercial objectives

- Demonstrated track record in developing and executing strategic and tactical marketing and sales plans to meet and exceed operational objectives
- Knowledge of Australian healthcare environment would be a distinct advantage
- specifically the different customer groups and political influences within the various therapy areas (Gastroenterology, Uro-Oncology, Infectious Diseases and Orthopaedics)
- Exceptional at building and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders; and communicating informally and formally across all stakeholder groups
- Strong leadership skills that influence a positive, open, challenging and exciting working environment
- Previous people management experience is essential and cross-functional leadership experience will be advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills including active listening skills and expertise in negotiations, Fluent in English (if not first language)
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Experience managing budgets and establishing sales forecasts
- Educated to degree level; Relevant experience supersedes education requirement.
- Eligibility to reside and work in Australia
- Able travel domestically and Internationally
