Due to an internal secondment, we have a rewarding opportunity for an Economic Development Officer to join our Strategic Development, Communications and Engagement Group. The opportunity will see you support the development and implementation of strategies, initiatives, and innovation programs to promote the economic growth of the Clarence City Council.

While this position is initially for a 6-month period, there is the potential for extension. We would love to discuss this opportunity with you

**ABOUT YOU**

You need to be a fast starter, able to get up to speed quickly, and love working across multiple disciplines contributing to projects, programs and strategies. With a tertiary qualification in economic development or experience in a similar role, your research skills will be well honed, allowing your strategic thinking to deliver informed and considered positions on issues and opportunities.

One of your key skills is your ability to write about complex concepts in plain English allowing non-specialists to understand your summary interpretations.

Overall, you value collaborating with others, building strong relationships and working as a team.
