The NDIS

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) supports people with disability to participate in and contribute to improving social and economic life, as well as provide certainty that people with disability will receive the care and support, they need over their lifetime. The NDIS provides multiple ways to assist people with disability to exercise choice, including taking reasonable risks in the pursuit of their goals and the planning and delivery of their supports. Your Opportunity

As a skilled and experienced Workplace Trainer based in either Hobart or Devonport at one of the MA NDIS offices, you will be a vital link between the NDIA and our Local Area Coordination (LAC) and Early Childhood Coordination (ECC) teams for NDIS-related learning and development needs. Your responsibilities as the Workplace Trainer include planning, facilitating, and delivering staff training across the area, focusing on both performance enhancements, and ensuring compliance against relevant service delivery standards, policies & procedures.

You will consistently demonstrate a positive and approachable disposition to all people, including those experiencing varying levels of ability. Self-motivated in your approach, you will thrive both when working independently and as a part of a team. You will be committed to delivering high quality outcomes across a range of performance areas and will enjoy creating, delivering, and recording outcomes of training provided to our teams.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the ongoing development and revision of training materials
- Providing ticket support to LAC’s
- Auditing support and compliance activities
- Assisting with delivering training including New Starter Essentials, NDIS modules and targeted upskilling activities
- Supporting staff development and capacity building through providing supportive feedback and guidance
- Researching materials to guide currency in practice
- Ongoing evaluation, documentation, and reporting

Requirements for Success

With a significant background in
_Disability, Community Services and/or Mental Health_ sectors, you will be confident in your case management and assessment processes. Other requirements include:

- Minimum Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- At least 3 years’ experience in delivery of Workplace Training, with experience delivering NDIS training being highly regarded.
- The ability to adjust delivery modes and methods to maximise impact and engagement
- Ability to conduct training needs analysis and develop, implement, and review training plans
- Able to establish mechanisms for feedback and continuous improvement of all training packages
- Experience of working in, or alongside community services sector or equivalent is desirable
- Lived experience of disability (highly encouraged)
- Full driver licence with no restrictions
- NDIS Worker Screening and NDIA On-Boarding requirements
