**Our Client**
Our client is a leading provider of critical communications solutions, servicing customers across Australia and New Zealand including the defence industries. For over a decade, they have delivered customised cable design and manufacturing through their high performing engineering team and exclusive strategic partnerships. Due to growth and a busy pipeline of key projects, they have created a dedicated Purchasing Officer position to continuously improve supply chain resilience and supplier performance.
**The Opportunity**

Based in their brand new, state of the art headquarters in Norwest; the Purchasing Officer will be a key member of the Sales, Inventory and Purchasing team. Specifically, this role will be responsible for:
- Researching supplier options to manage supply chain risks and optimise value for money.
- Oversight of the request for quotation (RFQ) process including vendor selection.
- Build positive working relationships with suppliers.
- Supplier performance management reporting.
- Coordinate inventory processes and procedures.
- Adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements.
**About You**
You will have experience in a purchasing, procurement or inventory team within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Your experience will include dealing with overseas suppliers, and you will understand the administration required to coordinate inbound shipments and related documentation.
