**About the role**

Reporting into the Procurement Services Manager, you will be responsible for providing effective leadership in the day to day operations of the purchasing team. You will continuously be driving improvement in the business practices and systems to promote a higher value outcome from the purchasing team.
- Provide effective leadership to the Purchasing team to drive positive culture and value outcomes
- Oversee the procurement of goods and services required by the business, promoting value driven outcomes
- Manage complex sourcing requirements and address technical queries as required
- Drive compliance to delivery timeframes and ensure expediting of goods is effectively conducted to promote transparency of goods availability
- Promote and monitor purchasing standards for Purchase Orders to ensure they are accurate and proactively address any compliance issues
- Maintain effective working relationships with end users to promote high levels of customer service
- Effectively collaborate with the Strategic team to identify and promote compliance with contracted items
- Ensure the appropriate governance is applied to all purchasing activities
- Identify opportunities for improvement and promote a continuous improvement culture
- Provide a first point of escalation for any after-hours purchasing requirements

**What you’ll bring to the team**
- Extensive experience in leading a purchasing team in a high paced environment
- Proven history of driving continuous improvement through sustainable transformation
- High exposure to procure to Pay systems
- Strong leadership and communications skills
