**The Role**
Enterprise Committees is part of the Department’s Associate Secretary Group, and provides support and advice to the Secretary, the Chief of the Defence Force, the Associate Secretary and the Vice Chief of the Defence Force. Working in Enterprise Committees will expose you to our most senior decision-making forums, providing invaluable insights to both priorities and process. The team also provides advice to the Associate Secretary on a wide range of departmental and Government priorities, and to Defence’s senior leadership group on committee process.
Key functions performed within each section include:
- Provide advice to Defence’s senior leadership on a range of policy issues including to the Chair of Defence Committees and senior leaders on out outcomes, anticipating and responding by exercising initiative and judgement to achieve strategic outcomes.
- Attend senior Departmental committees and draft outcomes and decisions to circulation across senior officials.
- Support the leadership of a high performing team to deliver strategic, analytical and administrative support to Defence senior leadership.
**About our Team**
Enterprise Committees is a dynamic, high performing team undertaking analysis on items being considered in senior forums to support Defence’s senior leaders. The team has exposure to critical issues, by being one of a few who are sitting in on senior Defence committees. In this role individuals have the ability to inform decision making in these forums.
They will have the following experience, skills or aptitude:
- High-level written and analytical skills, to deliver verbal briefing papers to the most senior members of Defence’s leadership.
