**About the role**
In this role your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with policies, processes, standards and security
- Build strong relationships with senior management across the organisation where service is provided to ensure high levels of service delivery and support.
- Maintain organisation effectiveness and efficiency by delivering and supporting plans for implementing new systems driven nationally or at a local level.
- Create a high-performance culture through personal leadership, teamwork and development of individual accountability for performance
- Provide technical guidance and support to IT staff, ensuring that they have the necessary resources to carry out their responsibilities.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and make recommendations for technology upgrades and enhancements.
- Lead and mentor the IT team, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery as a subset of business continuity plans to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
- Identifying and engaging with key stakeholders: This includes open communication and discussion between stakeholders, acting as a single point of contact by developing, maintaining and working to stakeholder engagement strategies and plans.
- Provides informed feedback to assess and promote understanding. Facilitates business decision-making processes.
- Captures and disseminates technical and business information.
**Experience and Qualifications;**
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- ITIL Foundation certification
- IT Industry-recognized certifications in some of the technical competencies that this role oversees
- 10+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and working with ITIL processes
- Experience with the development/formation of IT solutions and strategies in medium to large companies
- Experience in shifting IT groups’ maturity in governance and adherence to process
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team of IT professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management.
