**What to Expect**

Tesla is looking for an experienced and dynamic High Voltage Utility Specialist to work in one of the most progressive companies in the world. We are seeking personnel with excellent technical skills and experience, proven track record and exposure within HV and Utility scale sites, coupled with exceptional communication skills to work within the Energy Products Utility Service team. Tesla needs a diversely talented HV specialist ready to move quickly in order to keep our systems fully operational. The primary job is to coordinate high voltage service requirements including planning of O&M, troubleshooting and execution of repairs to HV BOP that supports Tesla stationary battery equipment. Applicants should be self-motivated team players with a positive attitude As stated, this role will require a significant amount of travel set around the service and upkeep our stationary battery network.

**What You’ll Do**
- Develop procedures from OEM manuals to troubleshoot and repair BOP equipment
- Plan and advise on complex and precise electro-mechanical debug, rework and repair
- Comfort working with Medium and Extra-High voltage while maintaining a safety focus
- Operate a variety of High Voltage test equipment (including primary injection, HV IR testers, and Thermal Imaging equipment)
- Develop and follow High Voltage practices and procedures for various maintenance activities related to Tesla Energy equipment
- Develop training systems for Utility technician maintenance activities related to Tesla Energy equipment
- Perform tasks requiring a high level of skill and patience
- Maintain high levels of communication and feedback within the Tesla Energy service organization; prepare daily updates of work completed, problems identified, and future timelines
- Build and maintain relationships with third party equipment suppliers to ensure operation security of plant
- Maintain high level of record keeping with regards to all HV operations, including but not limited to switching co-ordination
- Have flexibility to provide support outside your region and possibly outside the country as required

**What You’ll Bring**
- Certified Electrician (Cert III (3)+ in Electrical/Electro Technology) with up to date Electrical Registration
- Minimum 5+ years’ HV electrical experience’ large scale C&I, Utility sector. (Solar/Wind/Storage/Power Generation experience is preferred)
- High Voltage Switching / Operating Qualification
- High Voltage testing and maintenance experience
- SCADA operating experience
- CPR & Low Voltage Rescue
- Must be able to work from complex and detailed documentation and/or verbal and written instructions depending on situation
- Strong computer skills. Comfortable with programs outside of but not limited to Microsoft office suite
- Ability to communicate and function well in a mobile office setting
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings
- Must be reliable, have good initiative, committed, and quality focused
- Willingness to work outdoors, on the road, at unusual hours
- Valid driver’s license required
- Knowledge of operation and maintenance of a wide variety of hand and power tools, shop tools, test equipment
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including the public
- Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain and perform top level professional integrity and appearance
