As a Senior Electrical Engineer - Asset Management, you will play a critical role in the development and execution of asset management strategies, ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our high voltage switchgear and instrument transformers.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Provide expert input and advice across the entire asset lifecycle, with a focus on high voltage switchgear and instrument transformers.
  • Develop and maintain plant strategies, asset management plans, and monitoring, analyzing, and reporting asset performance, condition, and maintenance data.
  • Investigate and analyze equipment failures or problems, drafting reports, and contributing towards maintenance policy and practices.
  • Develop concept designs, scope of works, business cases, and support delivery of asset replacement and augmentation projects.
  • Provide expert input for contestable projects in development and delivery phases, including network and equipment selection, concept, tender, and detailed design reviews, and procurement and tender support.


Requirements:




  • Tertiary qualification in electrical engineering is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in the electricity industry is highly regarded.
  • Experience in asset-owning organizations across network asset management, asset engineering, operations, and incident management is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety outcomes.
  • In-depth knowledge of HV assets, with a focus on HV switchgear and instrument transformers and emerging trends and innovations.
  • Knowledge of relevant condition monitoring and assessment techniques for HV switchgear and instrument transformers.
  • Commercial acumen, demonstrated ability to operate from a contestable context.
  • Understanding of Asset Management leading practices, frameworks, and relevant standards.
  • Experience in the use of SAP or similar ERP systems.
