**About the role**

Responsible for providing administrative assistance and support to the Sales & Events team ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner and in keeping with Marriott brand standards.

**Critical responsibilities**:

- Prepare sales and events related documents throughout the sales process (e.g., proposals, contracts, or banquet event orders).
- Overall office duties including communication, printing, scanning and liaison with Sales, Marketing and Events Dept.
- Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally.
- Gather materials and assemble information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials). Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott.
- Process purchase orders and invoicing
- Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify information (e.g., commissions, leads, third parties) in software involved in the sales process.
- Answer guest questions about property facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, rates and room types, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants, special events).
- Answer telephone in absence of sales & marketing associates.
- General duties such as keeping office tidy, daily mail distribution & stationary orders
- Generate and upload group signage for events in house
- Create and print menus and food labels as required for Events team
- General client Data entry in conjunction with the sales and event teams
- Prepare complimentary forms and VIP arrival card/amenities
- Previous experience with Opera is desirable
- Solid knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
- Office skills, confident and professional phone manner
- Efficient with time management and able to actively listen
- Able to confidently perform any administrative tasks
- Strong communication, problem solving and adaptability skills
- Positive response to guest questions, requests and office tasks including vouchers and purchase orders
