**Role**:
The role will be part of the Strategic Communications team, who are responsible for the brand and

communication needs across the business, internal and external, including marketing collateral, corporate

documents, website, social platforms, significant events, and intranet communications.

As an integral part of the team, the Social Media Coordinator is responsible for planning and creating content

across our social platforms. This includes developing content that supports marketing campaigns to help

increase customer engagement, promote products and services, workshops, events, and customer success

stories. The role contributes to crucial awareness campaigns for our customers, stakeholders, government

partners, and the First Nations community.

**Duties**:

- Coordinate IBA’s social media channels, monitoring and responding to messages and comments
- Ensure socials content is relevant and lively for our community, and published in a timely manner
- so it connects with customers and promotes IBA products and services- Organise the social media content calendar with a proactive approach to what’s happening both
- internally and externally- Produce quality and creative content across the platforms in formats including video and text
- Follow ongoing trends in social media, incorporating that into the content creation for IBA

- Research and create content for significant dates in the cultural and community calendar
- Create social media campaigns from start to finish, including strategy, content creation and analyse
- results- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation
- Work closely with the IBA Digital Content Manager on IBA’s social media strategy
- Support the responsibilities of the Strategic Communications team as needed.
- Other duties as required.

**Required capabilities**

These are essential unless otherwise indicated.
- Strong understanding and respect of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture
- Awareness of IBA products and services
- Skills in using social media in a business and marketing context
- Confidence with social media platforms and management tools
- Background in social content creation, digital marketing or communications
- Awareness of latest social media trends and technology
- Sound digital skills and ability to create/edit video content on socials (i.e. Reels)
- Strong writing ability with an eye for detail
- Good time and project management skills
- Quick learner with enthusiasm and willingness to develop knowledge and skills
- Ability to adhere to deadlines and at times deliver content quickly
- Ability to think creatively and come up with new ideas
- Confidence to communicate ideas and recommendations
- Experience using Adobe Suite including Photoshop and Premier Pro (highly desirable)

- Relevant tertiary qualification in communications/marketing or equivalent industry experience
- Great team player, can work independently and has strong initiative and self-motivation
