Part of the Finance Management Corporate Affairs team, the Social Media Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and development of social content for Macquarie Group channels, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and WeChat.

As a member of a global Digital team, the Social Media Coordinator will also specialise in social media performance reporting, engaging social media communities to build relationships, and telling the Macquarie Group story.

The Social Media Coordinator will also support Group podcasting efforts, managing distribution via Apple Podcast and Spotify.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Social media content coordination
  • Supports social content plan development for Macquarie Group social media channels.
  • Champions compliance of social media activity from an accessibility, brand, legal, regulatory and content strategy perspective.
  • Social media reporting
  • Monitors and reports on social media performance and trends weekly
  • Supports businesses in monitoring, tracking, and reporting on campaigns and brand sentiment.
  • Supports the Social Media Lead in the coordination and execution of group strategy.
  • Social media community management
  • Listens to and reports on conversations about the Macquarie brand as an active member of the listening forum.
  • Engages with Macquarie Group's social media communities and responds to comments.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to engage new social audiences online.
  • Identifies social media issues and supports remediation in partnership with Media Relations team.
  • Nurtures community members of the Macquarie Group alumni program.

Key main tasks performed on a daily basis

  • Social media reporting
of Group-wide activity and/or business-aligned activity.

  • Development of creative briefs and subsequent liaison with internal graphic designers and producers.
  • Collaboration with businesses in the approach, design, and delivery of social media campaigns.
  • Collaboration and coordination with the Social Media Specialist in optimising paid social media campaign flighting.
  • Use of Sprinklr (social media management software) to schedule social content and manage community responding to influence positive brand sentiment

Ideally you will have experience in:

  • Experience in social copy writing/editing for a defined social tone of voice, within a financial services or corporate environment.
  • Experience in using social media software to coordinate, schedule, and report on activity/campaign performance.
  • Awareness of social media compliance and regulation in different jurisdictions.
  • Experience in (or knowledge of) the financial services industry advantageous.
  • Technical skillsets:
  • Proficiency in Sprinklr or similar social media software to manage social media portfolios; including scheduling, reporting, and automating processes and workflows.
  • Strong communicator verbal and written to confidently liaise with a large set of global stakeholders.
  • Ideally you will have a tertiary degree in media, communication, business or similar discipline.
