Disability Support Worker

Ablepoint Australia provides an exceptional level of service to NDIS participants and we are seeking fun-loving individuals (female preferred) to join our team and be involved in our community of NDIS participants and to assist them in thriving to achieve their goals.
**Looking for support worker in Camden** **NSW** **4-8 hours a day Monday to Friday.**
**Requirnment**:
- Needs to have Certificate 3 or 4 in disability/individual support
- Has driving license and needs to drive
- Experience in mental disability sector or autistic patient experience min 6 months
**Daily Tasks**:
- Administer or assist participants with medications in accordance with their medication chart and care plan.
- Support participants to develop and maintain independence and safety in personal care, and health & hygiene such as eating, dressing, toileting, and showering
- Developing and implementing programs with the participant to grow their living skills and abilities so they are more able to make decisions affecting their lives, live as independently as possible and participate in the community
- Support our participants with various household tasks including menu planning, cooking and serving meals, cleaning, shopping and other activities of daily living
- Implement personal support plans for participants who demonstrate challenging behaviors and/or with high physical support needs
- All tasks to be completed either in the participants' residence or within our group homes.
A few more things which will assist you in delivering the above tasks:
- Cert III, IV in Disability qualifications required (Or currently undertaking studies).
- Experience with mental health, complex and challenging behaviors, and high physical support needs will be highly regarded.
- A current Australian Driver's Licence and vehicle.
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- The ability to develop positive relationships with our clients and to support their individual care plans.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in English will be highly regarded.
