Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Specialist provides expertise, advice and assistance relating to the Energy Group's procurement activity, developing, and taking ownership of various sourcing strategies and supplier relationship strategies and associated policies and processes. Additionally, the Procurement Specialist undertakes all phases of strategic procurement activities using the skills necessary to identify saving opportunities, create competitive environments, creatively negotiate with suppliers, and generate contracts to ensure seamless availability of products and services needed to support departmental project managers and objectives whilst delivering value and minimising risk.
This role requires extensive contract management and procurement experience with excellent communication, collaboration, and coordination skills.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- An appropriate tertiary qualification or extensive experience in procurement and contract management is highly desirable.
This is a fixed term position available until 18 January 2025. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
