Public Health Officer

The role As the Public Health Officer you will contribute consultant-level advice to high-level meetings with Australian and State government representatives, Department of Health executives, and other internal and external stakeholders. You will plan, coordinate and manage activities in accordance with best practice project and program management methodologies. Finally, you will represent Queensland Health at national, state, inter-departmental and intra-departmental committees and forums.
The successful personYou will have demonstrated expertise in public health strategy and planning and an understanding of the strategic challenges facing Queensland's public health system. You will have demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, set and revise priorities and achieve results within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Furthermore, you will have proven ability to engage and consult with a wide range of stakeholders to advance Queensland Health's ability to respond to public health challenges.
