Director, Office of The Chief First Nations Health

The role As the Director for the Office of the Chief First Nations Health Officer, within the First Nations Health Office, you will provide independent, strategic, consistent, timely advice to the Chief First Nations Health Officer regarding contentious, time-critical or confidential matters, and other issues as required to ensure business continuity. You will lead and manage the Office correspondence services to ensure high quality advice is provided and effective allocation, tracking and monitoring process are in place. Finally, you will undertake and/or direct high-level complex, sensitive and time-critical projects for the Chief First Nations Health Officer and Office Executive.
The successful personYou will have demonstrated an understanding of historical and contemporary issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and subsequent health impacts. You will have demonstrated experience in providing sensitive, confidential and complex support to Executive Management within large complex public sector organisations. Furthermore, you will have demonstrated experience in leading and managing business and executive support services including financial, human resources, governance and correspondence within a division.
