Our client is a reputable residential construction business, specialising in small to medium building projects across the Hunter, Central Coast and Sydney regions. They are currently searching for an experienced Construction Manager to join their team to oversee the delivery of all upcoming projects.

**The Opportunity**

This permanent full-time position will be responsible for managing the Construction team and will ensure client’s needs are met through exceptional project delivery and collaboration.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

- Overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion.
- Overseeing all builds to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
- Conducting and documenting quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process.
- Providing technical construction advice related to procurement processes, quotations, estimates, and selection and evaluation of tenders from suppliers and contractors.
- Assisting with the preparation of building specifications and reviewing each project in-depth to schedule deliverables.
- Managing project schedules.
- Managing project financials.
- Maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating terms of agreements, drafting contracts and managing permits and licences.
- Ensuring contractual performance requirements are met.
- Coordinating labour resources.
- Reviewing work progress on a daily basis.
- Analysing, managing and mitigating risk.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant Construction Management degree and holding a current NSW Builders/Supervisors Licence.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing small to medium construction projects.
- Competent in accurate interpretation of plans and specifications.
- Computer literate.
- Strategic in approach with the ability to efficiently coordinate several projects at once.
- Ability to efficiently prioritise and achieve various deadlines.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Proven people management skills with exceptional communication skills.
