You will be the first **People & Culture **team member in our **Melbourne office**, responsible for the full employee life-cycle activities. As a **People Partner**, you will have the opportunity to help us grow the business by following the best practices and strategic focus areas from the People & Culture team.
You are a part of the Global People Partnership team reporting to the Head of People & Culture. As a hands-on person in multiple areas, your role varies from helping with local recruitment to office management and being the first point of contact for our local employees regarding all people-related matters. Melbourne office currently has 18 employees from different teams.
You will champion an environment where people are inspired and challenged to do their best work so that everyone can make a difference by living and breathing by the company’s core values - fun, fast, fair.
**The role entails a workload of 0.8, with the potential to transition into a full-time position.**
**️ Your daily tasks will be**:
- Provide all people services for your local teams, e.g. recruitment, relocation, visa and work permit processes, onboarding, employment contracts, career development, team motivation, disciplinary cases, performance management, L&D, exits, etc, following the Group’s best practices and guidelines;
- Provide high-quality people partnership for your teams in all People areas, from labour law-related advice to helping to build strong teams;
- Be a go-to person to all employees working in Melbourne office, offer advice, address concerns and resolve issues to ensure a positive and productive working environment while collaborating with other People Partners;
- Partner with team leads to identify the key people challenges and opportunities in
their business areas;
- Build strong relationships with Talent Acquisition, People Experience, People Partners, People Operations and Office teams to ensure alignment within the People and Culture division;
- Stay current with labour laws, regulations and best practices in the local market. Collaborate with local legal partners where necessary to ensure company-wide compliance;
- Make sure that the Melbourne office runs smoothly by managing all aspects of the office space and infrastructure planning as well as providing answers, resources, and solutions as requested;
- Be and act as an authentic culture & brand ambassador. Our culture and values are very important to us, and you play a vital role in driving and maintaining them across the company.
**️ What we expect from you**:
- A strong cultural fit by living by the company’s core values - fun, fast, fair;
- Solid hands-on experience (2+ years) in People Partnership, HR Generalist or any other similar role (people ops, recruitment, learning & development);
- Excellent knowledge of Australian labour law, local work permit and visa processes;
- Strong knowledge of core HR areas, best practices and trends, including hands-on
experience, e.g. recruitment and performance management;
- An excellent level of English, both oral and written;
- Good expertise in working with different HR software, e.g. HRIS, ATS and scheduling platforms;
- Good understanding or experience in office and workplace management and it’s core processes;
- Endless excitement about new trends in the HR area and willingness to try out new
ideas and practices to level up your people partnership game;
- You are a good combination of being people-oriented for strong relationships, creative, always developing new ideas on improving things, and data-driven to make the best decisions;
- Flexibility and adaptability to adjust people partnership strategies in response to changing market dynamics and business priorities;
- You have a high level of integrity and stay professional in all situations by ensuring confidentiality and compliance;
- You love working in a fast-paced environment with like-minded people who love what they do and cherish their achievements. Making things better, creating a great atmosphere around you and supporting the people drives and energises you;
- Previous working experience in a fast-paced iGaming or Technology company is beneficial.
