**About the opportunity**
The Criminalistics Branch at NSWHP Forensic & Analytical Science Service is looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to join our dynamic team of dedicated professionals providing world-class forensic analysis services for the people of NSW.

NSWHP Forensic and Analytical Science Service (FASS) provides independent, objective analysis to law enforcement bodies including the police, local coroners and public prosecutors in areas such as forensic medicine, forensic biology and DNA, forensic toxicology, drug toxicology, illicit drugs, and more. It also provides analytical testing for NSW Health and local government bodies and supports public health needs.

The Criminalistics Branch at FASS incorporates three major units: Forensic Biology/DNA, Chemical Criminalistics and Illicit Drugs Analysis.

**What you'll be doing**

The Executive Assistant will provide high-level organisational and administrative support to the Operations Director, Criminalistics and other members of the Criminalistics Leadership Team and proactively ensure that all portfolio administrative responsibilities are undertaken in an efficient, professional and timely manner.
- Extensive experience in providing highly organised and efficient executive administrative support including diary management at an executive level and the provision of secretariat support for meetings.
- Advanced proficiency in using PC based software at an advanced level including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook), SharePoint and network operations.
- High level communication skills, including sound interpersonal and negotiation skills, the ability to liaise with staff and health professionals at all levels and work cohesively within teams.
- Proven ability to work independently, exercise initiative and sound judgement and prioritise workload to respond and adapt to changing priorities and demands in a multidisciplinary work environment.
- Sound understanding of the demands and environment of the health system, including the need for confidentiality and discretion in issues management, preferably with experience working in a similar role in a complex organisation.
- High level ability to develop, implement and/or enhance office administrative systems and processes.

**Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases**
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
