- **Salary relative to experience, ranging from $84,757 to $94,265 + super and leave loading**

Our Environmental Forensics team is currently seeking to appoint an **Assistant Scientist **to support the team in delivering independent and rigorous scientific advice and analytical testing services for pollution investigations.

Key responsibilities for the Assistant Scientist include maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, culturing aquatic organisms including algae, invertebrates and fish, and assisting with the performance of ecotoxicity tests to improve our understanding of how environmental contaminants impact on wildlife.

**About You**

Assisting team members to deliver complex scientific projects is paramount in your day-to-day efforts. You will have proven capability in working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and an ability to respond quickly to changing priorities. You will have a sound understanding of scientific equipment and maintenance requirements and be able to communicate issues and ideas effectively.

**Essential Requirements**
- Scientific qualifications and knowledge of ecotoxicology and/or environmental forensics
