**About School Infrastructure**

School Infrastructure NSW (SINSW) is delivering new school buildings, major upgrades and maintenance strategies to ensure every school-aged child has access to high quality education facilities at their local public school. This encompasses the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.

**About the role**

Provide a range of finance and administrative services to support the efficient and effective operation of the relevant Asset Management Unit (AMU).

We are seeking a highly-motivated Finance and Admin Officer who will be required but not limited to:

- Provide comprehensive finance and administrative services, completing financial and purchasing transactions utilising appropriate systems and processes, to ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures and relevant legislative requirements.
- Receive and respond to a range of customer enquiries, including telephone and face-to-face enquiries, providing information and appropriately referring enquiries where required, to ensure a professional, timely and reliable customer service.
- Maintain the TRIM computerised records management system for the unit by creating, storing, retrieving and archiving files to ensure compliance with records management policies, procedures and guidelines and to contribute to the provision of timely and accurate information for reports, submissions and general advice.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to exchange information, obtain cooperation and support and provide financial and administrative information.
- Participate in the development of financial and administrative systems and processes to support more efficient workflows and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide support and guidance to new and existing staff on operating procedures and guidelines to enable the provision of high-quality customer service.

**Essential requirements of the role**
- Current driver's licence.
- Knowledge and understanding of infrastructure in the context of SINSW’s services, client base and stakeholders, or similar industry knowledge.
- Knowledge of and a commitment to the Department’s Work Health and Safety (WHS) Policy.

**Key knowledge and experience**
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

- Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
- Exercise sound judgment in organising work to meet deadlines, while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data and information.
- Be flexible and responsive to the identified priorities of the unit and displaying a willingness to embrace new technologies to improve business processes and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
