Overview:
- Full-time, Continuing position for a Lecturer in Industrial Design-
- Salary Academic Level B + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements-
- Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University- About The Position

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
1. Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver courses and programs at undergraduate and post-graduate levels and the ability to produce high quality curriculum materials.
- 2. Ability to undertake a course coordination role.
- 3. Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with, and to negotiate sensitively with students especially on issues related to effective learning.
- 4. Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs which will contribute to existing Discipline and School research areas evidenced by publications, creative works, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding, and industry links.
- 6. Ability to build effective networks with colleagues and generate alternative funding projects through effective liaison with industry and government.

Mandatory: PhD in relevant field.

The School of Design within the College of Design and Social Context consolidates RMIT’s design fields of Communication Design, Industrial Design and Digital Design. While maintaining a focus on these disciplines, it embraces innovative approaches to interdisciplinary work. The School works closely with industry, the cultural sector and communities, including research collaborations, internships and industry partnered studios.
- The School of Design is global facing and delivers programs in Singapore and Vietnam and has a community of PhD researchers based in RMIT Europe and Asia.
