The Head of Security Governance and Compliance will lead security governance for Information Security best practice, aligning Security governance practices compliance practices and strategy to enhance our security through diligent risk management, audit and assurance activities.


Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple teams within your department, including at least, Governance, Audit, Assurance (both digital and enterprise), 3rd party assurance.
  • Responsible for ensuring our continued accreditation to ISO27001 and for putting in place strategies to improve our ISMS (Information Security Management System).
  • Responsible for TPG Security policies, ensuring they stay up to date, reflect the risk position of the Information Security Governance Committee and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Ensuring Risk management good practices are followed and that all changes within TPG have been risk assessed.
  • Ensure the Cyber Security risk of our supply chain is well understood and compliant with government regulations.
  • Work with various government agencies and putting in place strategies to improve compliance.
  • Responsible for all TPG Telecom employees understanding of their security responsibilities which you will be able to prove to the GM Technology Security.
  • You will work directly with the GM Technology Security and oversea the day to day spend of the Security Governance departments budget, ensuring money is spent well as planned.
  • Develop and continue to improve our risk, audit, and compliance processes.
  • This is a leadership role responsible for developing and implementing plans aligned to the functional strategy as set by GM Tech Security. This will include aligning strategic direction for the areas of expertise you handle within the Security strategy.
  • You play a key role in implementing the strategy through your department.
  • You will design, implement, check, and improve the delivery and performance of processes and services within your remit, to continuously improve organisational results.
  • You handle the performance, growth and development of the Governance department and ensuring you role model proper behaviours.
  • You will handle the finding and managing security governance improvement opportunities within your department, the Wider Security group and TPG.
  • You will ensure proper controls are in place to manage security risks across TPG, including the protection of TPG systems and information.
  • You will have key relationships with stakeholders inside and outside the organisation including any vendor management per the commercial and vendor management teams processes.

Knowledge and experience

  • At least 10 years working within IT or Telecommunications, with a sound understanding of Technology Security Governance and Compliance.
  • Experience working within a highly regulated and compliance driven environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership qualities with a collaborative engagement style.
  • Ability to adapt quickly, be a selfstarter, work effectively with multiple groups, and follow issues through to resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to easily develop new relationships with both suppliers and colleagues.
  • Ability to influence and build trust with senior leaders within TPG.
  • Ability to build highperforming teams, maintaining shape and effectiveness through change.
