**About the Company**
Our NSW State Government client aims to reduce risk of harm to vulnerable individuals throughout the community.

**About the Role**
They are currently seeking an Assessment Team Leader with strong analytical skills and high-volume data review experience to join their rapidly growing team in Strawberry Hills.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage the operational performance of the team
- Allocate workloads, provide direction, support and guidance to staff
- Mentor, train and develop the skills and competency of the team
- Promote and foster a collaborative team environment
- Review and approve the categorisation of criminal and other records
- Evaluate the marking up of records, provide feedback and training, where required
- Ensure a high standard of customer service, including when dealing with difficult and sensitive issues
- Translate complex and sensitive information into clear, simple and easy to understand language
- Support the team through uncertainty and change in a challenging, high volume and dynamic environment
- Concurrently manage competing priorities whilst determining appropriate course of action
- Critically analyse information to form a view on its probity and weight in a records review
- Track, monitor and review trends and issues, implementing innovative improvement strategies and mitigating risks
- Participate in review, reform and monitoring projects to increase quality and efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with best practice, security, privacy and legislative requirements

**About you**
- Experience in Leadership, Management or Development of staff, essential
- Demonstrated experience within a high volume transactional environment
- Proven experience working with complex and distressing information
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- High attention to detail
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS office suite
- Valid Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
