**The role**:
We’re looking for a Billing & Metering Lead to head up our team of billing specialists within our collaborative, experienced and innovative Digital Field Services team.

Reporting into the Metering Manager, the Billing & Metering Lead will have two primary focusses; the first is to ensure timely and accurate processing of analogue and digital billing, and secondly, to provide expertise and leadership to support the implementation of digital enhancements including managing the required change to enable a smooth transition.

In this role, you’ll work with our technical teams to implement efficiencies needed to enable the drive towards South East Water’s digital future. As we introduce digital metering to the business at scale, this role will be pivotal in helping to lead the change required for the team to move seamlessly into its new responsibilities.

**Who are you?**:
You’re a people person with leadership qualities that have been strengthened from your extensive water utility customer service or administration experience. Your prior experience in leading a team in a complex and changing environment will set you up for success in this role, as you lead and motivate the Billing & Metering team.

A sound understanding of both IoT and analogue meters, meter reading practices and procedures and associated requirements to enable effective and accurate billing is essential, as is knowledge of analogue and digital billing processes and metering systems.

You have strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your demonstrated organisational and change management skills, partnered with your general knowledge of accounting principles and budget techniques allow you to manage projects effectively. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills will be essential for identifying improvement opportunities.
