- A rare and exciting opportunity exists to join the Salvation Army Aged Care senior leadership team in the capacity of a Residential Aged Care Area Manager on a full time basis.
- ABOUT THE ROLE
- Reporting to the General Manager Residential Services, in this role, you will bring together your leadership skills and your exceptional understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and legislation, AN-ACC, and best practice in order to lead and coordinate residential operations of a RAC portfolio within metropolitan Sydney and beyond.
- We are seeking an experienced leader, with strong background within aged care, managing regional and/or multi-site roles. You will have the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders. You will be passionate about continuous improvement, fostering the delivery of TSA mission and our person centred model of care, whilst ensuring resources are utilised effectively and efficiently.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing leadership to the Centre Managers in your portfolio to support the delivery of effective & mission focused services to residents, families and staff-
- Providing coaching and leadership to drive financially sustainable operations-
- Mentor, coach and support your team members in the pursuit of clinical and leadership excellence-
- Provide leadership, practical assistance and support to successfully manage AN-ACC and rostering-
- Actively drive continuous improvement in the team with best practice and new initiatives-
- Foster positive relationships and promote the Mission & Values of The Salvation Army-
- The ability to travel across metropolitan and country locations is required.- ABOUT YOU- An understanding, empathy, appreciation and the ability to promote the values and ethos of The Salvation Army-
- Experience in managing multi-site roles or a large business unit within the Aged Care sector-
- A Nursing or Business qualification-
- Demonstrated strong leadership and coaching skills-
- Understanding of the funding and legislative requirements relating to the aged care sector-
- An in depth knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and how they translate to everyday practice-
- A passion to improve clinical care through coaching and team development programs-
- Ability to drive operational performance and change management to meet targets-
- Well-developed communications skills and an ability to interpret and utilise complex documents and IT systems-
- Experience in commissioning aged care services will be of advantage-
- This role will be based in Sydney, with interstate and regional travel required, supporting the aged care centres- BENEFITS
