**Job Overview**:
Komatsu are currently seeking a Technical Buyer to join our Underground Supply Chain Team at either our Rutherford or Moss Vale facilities. This position will be a 6-month contract with opportunity for permanency at completion.

Reporting to our Indirect Procurement Manager, this position will manage the procure to pay process with an established vendor base for the supply of non-inventory materials and services across the operational sites on the east coast of Australia.

**Key Job Responsibilities**:

- Technical sourcing of non-fixed scope requirements.
- Manage indirect supply base to provide technical parts and services to support the business.
- Manage a complex level of priorities and demands through the vendor base within a limited time frame.
- Review purchases and investigate sources of supply, from domestic suppliers to ensure lowest cost supply to Komatsu, developing alternatives if required.
- Proactive analysis of purchasing data, lead times, repair lifecycles, opportunities, and risks.
- Supporting projects and business activities with various stakeholders to implement sourcing agreements, statements of work and arrangements.
- Establishing and managing the life cycle of purchase orders / repair orders.
- Seek ways to continuously improve external and internal customer satisfaction with product or service quality and on‐time delivery.
- Monitor vendor performance to fulfil KPIs.

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Previous experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain
- Extensive SAP understanding in the Materials Management and Purchasing functions.
- Experience in the mining industry would be advantageous.
- Previous Technical Background or demonstrated previous experience in a technical buying role with the ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Experience with computer-based inventory control systems.
- Exposure to leading projects with multiple stakeholders across departments
- Strong attention to detail.
