**Description**

The Mt Buller Ski and Snowboard School is currently seeking a suitably experienced person to assist manage of our Race & Events Department (RED). As the assistant supervisor you will be responsible for the efficient, safe and consistent service delivery of quality events for our guests working closely with the Race department supervisor and event organizers.

Employment is over the 2024 winter season and commence at the end of June through to mid September 2024

As the assistant supervisor you will be primarily responsible for:

- Assist in coordinating with event organizers, key stake holders and other Buller Ski Lifts Departments
- Lead and manage a small team
- Setting up infrastructure and event locations
- Assist to plan event locations, event structures
- Delivering quality events to event organizers
- Covering supervisor days off.

To be successful in this role you must possess the following:

- Knowledge of ski and/or snowboard racing (on snow event experience) - GS, SL, SX, BX, XC, Slopestyle
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- A positive, flexible attitude and the ability to lead a team
- Ability to maintain a pleasant, professional manner under pressure
- Neat and well groomed appearance
- Alpine/Snowboard Coaching Qualifications - advantageous
- Alpine/Snowboard Instructor Qualifications - advantageous
- Knowledge of race timing software - advantageous
