**About the Opportunity**

Be a part of the future of Adelaide through this collaborative and people focused leadership position. In this highly influential role, within our Strategy, Insights & Performance Program you will lead the team that is responsible for community engagement, strategic and corporate planning, research and insights. You will work across the organisation to further the Strategic Planning Framework in conjunction with leaders and monitor the achievement and progress of actions as along with overall service performance.

Utilising your skills and experience, you will guide the team that develops strategies, plans and policies, establishes, monitors and reports on performance, providing recommendations to drive outcomes and increase efficiencies across the organisation. Your leadership in strategic and practical community engagement will ensure that Council has a clear understanding of community sentiment and feedback to inform decision making and service design.

You will a have leadership style which is naturally empowering, supportive, collaborative, encouraging and drives culture. This role will enable you to champion quality community engagement, research as well as develop insights that inform our decision making on behalf of the community.

**About You**

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Experience in providing effective leadership which continually enhances and builds the team’s capability and performance, and supports the organisations project management approach.
- An understanding of community engagement, strategic and corporate planning, policy development and research, and transformation principles.
- A commitment to continuously improving customer experience.
- Proven experience in delivering innovation in an organisation.
- Experience in business analysis, business process mapping and re-engineering.
- Detailed understanding of enterprise-wide process review and methodologies
- Experience in analysing data to identify trends and issues that are important to the organisation and interpret the results to make recommendations for how the organisation should address the issues.
- Developed project and consultant management skills which underpin the timely development of strategies, projects and programs and assist in cross functional collaboration.
- Proven ability to build positive relationships and consult, negotiate and communicate with a range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret interdependencies between projects and priorities in line with customer requirements and demonstrate willingness to incorporate input from others.
