**Office Driver**

The Consulate-General of Japan in Perth is seeking a responsible and enthusiastic individual to provide professional driving services at the Japanese Consulate office in West Perth. Salary is commensurate with experience.

This position is on a full-time basis: Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm - with required paid overtime work on a regular basis, including on weekends and holidays.
- **Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:_
- Driving Duties_
- Acting as vehicle driver to the Consulate staff, guests and dignitaries as directed
- Pick-up and delivery of letters/packages
- Maintaining driving log book
- Vehicle Maintenance Duties_
- Maintaining a vehicle to be kept in good condition
- Reporting to Management Officers if any repairs or routine services are required
- Liaising with auto repairs for any services
- Cleaning vehicle as required but at least once a week
- Ensuring vehicle has enough petrol in tank
- Administrative Duties_
- Assisting officials with purchase and sale of their private vehicles
- Some general handyman jobs as directed
- Miscellaneous Other Duties as directed by Management Officers_
- **Selection Criteria**:_

1. Completion of Secondary School (Year 12 or High School Diploma) is required.

2. At least five years of driving experience is required (professional driving experience preferred).

3. Fluent written and spoken English is required.

4. Applicants must hold either Australian citizenship or Permanent Residency.

5. Applicants must hold a valid Australian Driver's licence and have a clean driving record.

6. Knowledge of Perth streets, suburbs and regional Western Australia, and a general understanding of traffic conditions in Perth.

**Applicants who cannot demonstrate fulfilment of all selection criteria unfortunately cannot be considered.**
