We are seeking an engaging and motivated, pro-active individual looking to develop their career and join our People & Culture Team

**About us**

Hornsby Shire is located on Sydney's upper north shore, approximately 25 kilometres north of the CBD. Known as the ‘Bushland Shire’, our local government area is characterised by bushland comprising national park, major waterways, natural reserves and rural landscape. The rest of the Shire combines urban, rural and open spaces.

**About the role**

The P&C Officer is a key role within the Business Partnering team. This varied role supports the Business Partners to provide all employees and leaders with advice across the full employee lifecycle. We are also involved with delivering on P&C operational activities to support the business to meet its overall goals. The role will also contribute to various interesting P&C projects.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

- Coordination of recruitment activities by assisting leaders with their recruitment needs across the full end to end process, including posting adverts, facilitating relevant panel interviews, position description reviews and job evaluations.
- Supporting the employee recognition scheme ‘My Rewards’
- Assisting in performance and grievance matters
- Providing support and input to relevant P&C projects
- Providing advice to the business on relevant P&C systems, policies, guidelines and the Local Government Award
- Supporting the annual cyclical P&C programs including performance appraisals, objective setting, talent reviews, remuneration reviews, P&C events.

This role will provide the opportunity to work with both the Business Partnering Team and Organisational Development team.
