**About the role**

As an Operational Worker, you will report to the Civil Works Team Leader and work in an enthusiastic and close-knit team. If you enjoy working collaboratively, have a positive can-do attitude and don't mind getting your hands dirty, this is a great opportunity.

You will be conveniently based at our Fletcher St Depot in Woollahra which is just a short stroll from Bondi Junction Train Station. This role offers varied work, family and life balance, where you can enjoy the outdoors, a day off every fortnight and gain a long term opportunity to develop in your career.

**About you**

Your asphalting and concreting experience along with your commitment to work as part of a team will be highly valued. You have experience in providing general labouring and related duties associated with civil infrastructure maintenance construction asphalting and concreting works to maintain the civil infrastructure standards of the council.

**Essential Criteria**
- ** **Current MR Driver’s Licence.
- Workcover WH&S General Induction for Construction Work in NSW (Whitecard).
- Proven ability to carry out work in accordance with established policies and procedures, as directed to the required standards in a safe and efficient manner.
- Understanding of and commitment to WHS and EEO principles and relevant legislation. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deal with the public in high profile areas
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Capable of working within in the physical requirements in Section 7 of the Position Description

**Desirable Criteria**
- Currently hold a TfNSW Traffic Controller Licence or willing to obtain.
- Experience in civil works construction
