**About the Role**

Woollahra Council is looking for an experienced and customer-focused payroll professional to join our friendly team on a temporary basis. This role is part of the dynamic People, Safety and Performance team and is a six month contract.

You will be responsible for the efficient and accurate administration of the payroll function including the processing of weekly payroll through the ichris system. You will ensure payroll operates efficiently and processes are accurate and legally compliant while providing advice and education to staff.

**About you**

You will need to be self-motivated, great at dealing with people and able to maintain confidentiality of information. Your accuracy, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines will ensure your success in this role, as Council processes the payroll on a weekly basis.

**Essential Criteria**
- Experience in iChris
- Relevant experience in payroll processing
- Recognised accuracy, attention to detail and methodical checking

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Experience in Local Government
- Experience in Workers Compensation
