People & Culture Advisor - Generalist Role

**About the Role**
CareSouth have an exciting opportunity for a People and Culture Advisor to join our P&C team in a full time, permanent capacity. The location of this role will be based within our Illawarra region.

Working closely with the Western NSW People & Culture Team Leader, the People & Culture Advisor will provide advice and support in all aspects of the employee lifecycle including WHS and workers compensation (training will be provided). Applicants with demonstrated experience in WHS and Return to Work Coordination will be highly considered.

- Provide guidance and counsel relating to people management, employee relations, coaching/development, conflict management workforce planning
- Provide advice and support to leaders and staff on people policies, procedures and processes
- Manage end to end employee relations matters of moderate complexity
- Lead the return to work/recover at work process in line with CareSouth values.
**The successful applicant will have**:
- Tertiary qualifications in HR/IR or another relevant field.
- Must have the ability/willingness to travel between office locations.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the people and culture space
- Excellent understanding of HR programs including performance management, coaching, talent management, compensation practices, onboarding, offboarding and employee relations
- You’ll have incredible organisational skills and attention to detail and be able to balance the big picture with short term needs/ initiatives
- You demonstrate a high degree of judgement and can juggle a diverse range of priorities
- a standard day could involve supporting someone with parental leave questions, dealing with performance issues or onboarding new staff
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
- Well-developed computer skills and experience in the use of databases and/or HRIS.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative to drive outcomes and efficiencies
- Demonstrated experience in return to work and workers compensation management.
- Experience working in partnership with the business to achieve business outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting and advising on relevant legislation and P&C policy.
- Willing to undergo a National Police History Check and obtain an Employee Working with Children Check clearance number.
