The role
As part of our Maritime group and reporting to the Strategic Support Manager, The Strategic Support Analyst is responsible deep diving into our data using outstanding Power BI and Excel skills, and providing proactive, reliable and sophisticated recommendations based on that data. You will focus on improving efficiencies and reducing costs by making recommendations based on sound analysis to streamline our systems, inventory management, purchasing, life cycle and budgeting decisions.
Additionally we are totally flexible with this role, it would suit someone returning to the workforce after a break, who has kept their skills up-to-date, school hours would be an option we would consider, part-time over 3, 4 or 5 days or 4 or 5 full days a week. We simply want to find the best person for the role, who can wow us with their skills and ability to extract data from our own internal, and our partner organisation data bases.
- Manage and maintain the Technical Support Network Register
- Work closely with alliance partners to ensure data is accurate and reliable
- Assist with end of month reporting
- Assist with the compilation of various reports
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
About you
- Your skills and experience will include:_
- Outstanding data analysis skills and demonstrated expertise
- Proven Power BI and Excel excellence and be able to provide examples of recent work
- Excellent report writing skills, and the ability to make well structured, defensible arguments using data as the basis for improving efficiencies and reducing costs.
- Problem solving skills
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines
- Strong competency in customer relations, stakeholder management and influencing up
A Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
