Reporting to the Service Desk Lead, the Service Desk Analyst provides ICT technical knowledge and support as a single point of contact between users and the City’s ICT services. In this role you are responsible for providing support to users and solving problems to minimise system downtime. You also complete standard set up activities and use appropriate tools and methods to address users’ support queries.

You are experienced in troubleshooting desktop operating systems and office suites, and providing Level 1 to 2 support. This role requires a comprehensive knowledge of Incident, Service Request and Problem Management ITIL processes, Microsoft Windows operating systems, end user hardware (desktop and mobile devices) and all software installation and configuration. An understanding of Microsoft Server and Messaging solutions (Active Directory, Group Policy and Exchange), Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager and TCP/IP networking is preferred.

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide guidance and support in layman’s terms, with a demonstrated analytical and systematic approach to issue resolution. A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, or demonstrated capacity to progress towards achieving this qualification, ITIL 4 Foundation, and a current ‘C’ class driver’s licence is also essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems, end user hardware (desktops and mobile devices) and software installation and configuration.
- ITIL 4 Foundation qualification, including the comprehensive knowledge of Incident, Service Request and Problem Management ITIL processes.
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or demonstrated capacity to progress towards achieving these qualifications.

This position offers a gross salary of **$74,999** per annum and in addition we offer:

- 11% superannuation plus the opportunity to co-contribute up to 5%
