**About the role**

Brand development in the digital space through content creation, online community management and marketing administration are the core focus areas of the Marketing Assistant role.
- The Marketing Assistant role provides vital marketing support and assistance across various facets of service delivery within the Communications and Marketing team. You will proactively keep on top of marketing administration tasks to support ongoing BAU workload requirements of the team. You may also occasionally provide promotion and coordination support for community activities and events.

You will contribute to building awareness of Communify’s brand, and promoting our programs and activities, across digital and occasionally traditional communications channels. This role is responsible for creating compelling and engaging content for social media, EDMs and our website, in line with wider marketing campaign objectives. Basic graphic design for digital media and simple print collateral, in accordance with Communify’s style guide, will form a core aspect of the role.

In addition to content sourcing and creation, this role is responsible for full management of Communify’s social media channels, including multi-channel content scheduling and monitoring. Integral to this role is the ability to manage numerous online communities across Communify’s digital communications channels, maintain cross-promotion with partner and supporter content, and drive engagement on social media platforms.

This is a role that offers some flexibility with working arrangements, such as the option to work from home for a maximum of two of your three rostered days per week.

**About you**
- Strong expertise across a range of social media platforms, including: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and Tiktok; Buffer or equivalent social media scheduling platforms
- Basic graphic design skills using Canva
- Web content management experience using WordPress CMS
- Digital marketing and content creation experience
- Highly developed written and interpersonal skills
- Initiative and ability to work independently as well as part of a small busy team is essential
- Empathy, cultural awareness and sensitivity, and a desire to make a difference in the community through your work
- Current National Police check or the ability to obtain one
