The primary objective of the Program Coordinator, Private Land Acquisition and Management, is to oversee the development and implementation of key strategies and mechanisms to establish and progress Taungurung cultural, environmental and economic objectives with regards to private land acquisition, development and management.

**Status**:Full time, Fixed term, (to 30 September 2024) with further extension based on funding availability. Flexibility for part time arrangements

**Key Duties**
- Lead the development and delivery of the Taungurung Private Land Acquisition and Management Strategy.
- Undertake research, develop partnerships and **progress opportunities in accordance with Taungurung cultural objectives and strategic priorities** to increase TLaWC’s private land holdings for the enjoyment of Taungurung people; the employment of Taungurung people, and to develop potential income.
- Undertake research, develop partnerships and **progress opportunities for engagement with a broad range of investment sources**, in order to build the Taungurung Private Land Acquisition and Development Strategy as a strong platform for a sustainable future for Taungurung people and land.
- Lead the development and implementation of a **range of mechanisms for supporting Taungurung’s aspirations for cultural, environmental and economic development regarding land**, including Aboriginal Heritage Agreements, cultural covenants, methodologies for culturally driven natural capital, carbon sequestration, biodiversity credits, where they align with cultural objectives and strategic priorities.
- Develop and coordinate **delivery of projects** under the TLaWC Private Land Acquisition and Development Strategy, including facilitating input from multi-disciplinary expert staff and external contractors and collaborators.
- Develop and provide oversight to implementation of property management plans that respond to cultural objectives (to heal, protect and enhance biocultural values) and that are consistent with other culturally informed planning for culturally valued species, cultural reserves and cultural landscapes.
- Other duties as directed by the Cultural Landscape Program Manager.

**WHS**

Lead and support implementation of an effective OHSMS through allocation of required resources. Direct and support employees to contribute to the effectiveness of OHSMS.
