**About the role**

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Associate to join our well regarded Public Law team working alongside Partner Chris Cantor in a full-time capacity. Based in our Melbourne office, this role involves providing advice and conducting disputes for clients in both government (local and state) and the private sector, with a particular focus on compulsory acquisition, compensation, planning matters, land valuation and local government rating.

**About you**

In order to be considered for this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

- Admission to practise as a legal practitioner, with at least 4 years’ post admission experience in private practice/government
- Exposure to or experience in compulsory acquisition/compensation, valuation and/or planning and environment law
- Disputes experience at VCAT and/or the Supreme Court
- You will have strong drafting skills, excellent communication skills and a collegiate approach.
