We are seeking an experienced Land Acquisition Manager to join our team at AusNet Services in Melbourne, Australia. As a key member of our Community Engagement and Land Planning Team, you will be responsible for managing land access and acquisition activities across various development and future networks electricity infrastructure projects throughout Victoria.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of property law and valuation principles. You will lead a team of subject matter experts in negotiating licences, leases, easements, and other property documents with varied stakeholders. Your primary objective will be to secure land and easements to enable timely and efficient project delivery.

You will work closely with commercial and delivery teams to establish contact with landowners and effectively negotiate agreements. With a 3/2 hybrid (office/remote) split, this role is based in CBD Melbourne with ad-hoc travel to site.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have a tertiary degree or relevant experience in a related field, such as electricity infrastructure, renewable energy, or real estate. Experience in leading project or specialist function activities, geographic information systems knowledge, and demonstrated expertise in property research and land tenure systems are highly desirable.

You will need to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering complex projects, negotiating with stakeholders, and maintaining positive working relationships. A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes is essential.
