Our client is a global insurance company, also protecting Australians and what's important to them for more than 20 years through their range of products. Due to growth we're currently seeking a Claims Consultant to join their Motors team in a full-time permanent capacity. Within this role you will ensure motors claims are processed in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with policy guidelines.

This is not like any other insurance call centre role, This team know how to have run whilst getting the job done. There's no selling and no timed toilet breaks The focus is on customer and job satisfaction.

**The role**:

- Receive inbound calls from existing customers/third parties and conduct update/follow up calls as required
- Provide, reliable and accurate information to customers and third parties in a timely manner
- Liaise with third party suppliers and service providers
- Obtain documentation from customers to facilitate claims handling in line with organisational Policies and Procedures.
- Accept or decline claims in accordance with Underwriting guidelines, and as instructed by Manager
- Report incidents, breaches, fraudulent activity or complaints in a timely manner and in accordance with relevant Policies and Procedures
- Negotiate claims costs

**What we're looking for**:

- Insurance industry experience advantageous but not essential (training will be provided)
- Call centre experience (favourable)
- Experience within customer service
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
- Ability to listen and communicate in a respectful manner
- Show empathy
- Skills in negotiation, asking probing questions, customer service, persuasion or investigations
- Sound interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport
