**About the role**

We are seeking a procurement specialist, to join a tight-knit and high performance operations team, for a 6 month fixed term period. Working in close collaboration with PMO Stakeholders, the Procurement Officer will execute L3Harris purchasing processes, in a timely and compliant manner, ultimately contributing to our organisational growth and enhancing our technical capabilities.

The primary remit of this role is to enable the procurement of materials and services necessary for L3Harris to deliver program requirements on time and within budget. Day to day duties in this role could include assessing suppliers for key risk criteria, liaising with Quality Management to mitigate counterfeit goods risks, developing subcontractor specifications and statements of work, preparing bid packages, developing strategies to increase local & indigenous supply opportunities and the continuous improvement of procurement processes across the organisation.

**About you**

To be successful in this role and to best leverage the opportunities provided by L3Harris, some skills & experience ideal applicants will bring include;
- Previous experience in a complex and fast paced procurement environment
- Demonstrated experience in developing supplier relationships, supporting customer requirements and meeting time critical deadlines
- Experience with and understanding of Export Controls
