**About the Role**:
The Compliance and Quality Officer will report to the Manager, Enterprise Risk and Assurance and work as a key and active participant of the Governance and Strategy department team.

The main purpose of this role is to lead the compliance and assurance activities, implementation of continuous improvement and quality management compliance processes within ESTA, and to assist the achievement of strategic objectives.

You will be responsible for the design, management and identification of ESTA’s enterprise compliance activities through assessment, remedial support and assurance monitoring and reporting on ESTA’s enterprise compliance with legislation, regulations, policy and procedures.

Day to day responsibilities include:

- Designing, managing and implementing ESTA’s Compliance Managing system and providing coverage of all ESTA compliance obligations
- Advising on and overseeing the delivery of broader Policy, Strategy and Governance functions including drafting, reviewing and implementing policies and procedures
- Developing and implementing strategies to continuously uplift ESTA’s compliance capability and maturity.
- Preparing reports for the Executive Leadership Team and Audit and Risk Management Compliance Committee on activities undertaken to manage compliance risks and support attestation obligations
- Participating in strategic planning and contributing to the strategic decision-making process, including drafting and monitoring the implementation of the organisation’s Corporate and Business Plan

**About You**:
As the Enterprise Compliance and Quality Officer, you will ideally have substantial experience in compliance and assurance and a tertiary qualification in public policy or related discipline.

Additionally, it is also anticipated you will bring:

- Proven experience in developing implementing and managing systems for compliance and assurance manage or internal audit plans
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual skills with the demonstrated ability to devise strategies and frameworks and providing innovative solutions to complex problems
- Demonstrated practical and results oriented approach, focused on delivering high quality outcomes with challenging time constraints
- Proven experience in managing high work volumes to meet tight timeframes and a strong continuous improvement ethos
