We are looking for an **Advisor Safety and Emergency Response** to provide support, advice and guidance to operational teams on the implementation of Health and Safety systems within the work environment. This is a great opportunity for a for an enthusiastic individual to maintain the sustainability of the Emergency Services Team response capability.

Reporting to the Health and Safety Lead and working in a collaborative community within the HSE Bell Bay team, you will:

- Prepare and distribute performance reports on Health and Safety performance to the site, including identify trends and insights and End of Month/year reporting
- Be involved in Safety Maturity Model assessments (internal and external) and other relevant audits and assessments.
- Manage the Critical Risk Management (CRM) portal with respect to Bell Bay employees and contractors.
- Provide advice on relevant Health and Safety risks and aspects to operational teams.
- Facilitate the completion of incident investigations along with investigation leads.
- Prepare and deliver Health and Safety improvement packages (e.g. shift start talks)
- Coordinate the sites HSE committee
- Maintain the distribution of isolation hardware
- Provide advice on the suitability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Prepare the annual Emergency Response Team (ERT) training plan in conformance with relevant laws and regulations and Rio Tinto standards
- Coordinate the delivery of the annual ERT training plan and attendance to the annual TMEC ERT competition.

**What you’ll bring**
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Diploma or Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and/or Emergency Response (Desirable)
- Experience in a Work Health and Safety or related field
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Organised and able to meet deadlines
